RenderLinen & Light
Lime plaster, linen, jute and late-morning sun.
A tall, quiet living room in a Dubai villa, where the light does most of the work. Warm-white lime plaster, a linen sofa, a round jute rug and long bands of sun through the curtains. Against all that softness, birch ply in Natural is the warmest thing in the room: pale honey, with the grain left to show.
The pieces
The Boho Soul sideboard takes the main wall. It has four doors, each with a routed arch, alternating up and down so the front reads as one quiet pattern. There are no handles: a finger pull is cut into the top edge of each door. In front of it stand the Luna tables, tall and low. They are five-sided, with an arch cut into every side and two small steps down each leg. They make a pair, but each is sold on its own, so one can just as well be a side table. At the dining end of the room is the Jeffrey Lungo, with four open arches, a shelf in each and slatted ends.
How to get the look
- Keep the palette short: warm white, sand, honey and one touch of black.
- Let texture do the work of colour: linen, jute, lime plaster, a stoneware bowl.
- Choose Natural for the ply. It is the closest to the wood as it comes, and it warms a pale room without making it busy.
- Give a long sideboard room to breathe, with clear wall either side and the art hung well above it.
Sizes and finishes
The Boho Soul also comes with two or three doors, and the Jeffrey in a 150 cm Regular size. Every piece is cut, assembled and finished in our Dubai workshop when you order it, usually in 10–14 working days, in Natural, Sand, Smoke or Snow. If your space needs a size we don't list, ask us: it is often possible.
The room is imagined and rendered. The pieces in it are rendered from photographs of the real pieces, in the finish named; tap a piece to see photographs of the real thing.
