A room collected over years rather than bought in a day: deep olive walls, a Persian rug, velvet, a stack of records and lamps glowing orange after dark. Birch ply in Natural holds its own here because it is plain. The grain and the cut patterns are all the decoration it needs.

The pieces

The Eclectic Soul sideboard sits under the gallery wall. Each of its four doors has a field of slots cut right through it, running in different directions, so together they read as one zig-zag. The Zoe cabinet stands by the window, taller than it is wide, with a circle of slots across its two doors and an open finger-pull channel down the middle. On the next wall, a 160 cm Sammy credenza works as a record console, with two sliding doors, finger-jointed corners and a low 55 cm height that suits a turntable.

How to get the look

• Go dark on the walls. Olive, ink or oxblood make pale ply glow.
• Mix rather than match: velvet, stone, glass and wood, each from a different decade.
• Put cut-through patterns where the light can catch them. A lamp beside the Zoe or on the sideboard picks out the slots.
• Give records a proper home: a long, low credenza keeps them to hand and the turntable at the right height.

Sizes and finishes

The Eclectic Soul also comes with two or three doors, and the Sammy in 160 or 220 cm. Every piece is cut, assembled and finished in our Dubai workshop when you order it, usually in 10–14 working days, in Natural, Sand, Smoke or Snow. If your space needs a size we don't list, ask us: it is often possible.
